The Vale of Glamorgan has a very active and vibrant amateur dramatics scene and every year seems to have a bigger offering. 2019 is no let-down and there are many big shows at our local theatres this summer.

Sweeney Todd – PODS

The Penarth Operatic and Dramatic Sociey (PODS) are staging the Sondheim classic – Sweeney Todd at the Paget Rooms, Penarth on 15-17 May. Ian Scott who will be playing Sweeney spoke with Ryan and Jodana on It’s Showtime earlier in the year. Listen again here.

Fame Junior – Billboard Juniors

Billboard Juniors will be presenting Fame Junior at St. Cyres from 30th May to 1st June. Ceri Goodwin the Director of the show spoke to Ryan & Jodana on 17th February. Listen again here.

Jesus Christ Superstar – CAOS

CAOS will be staging ‘Jesus Christ Superstar,’ one of their biggest productions of recent years at Rhoose Community Centre from 30th May until 1st June. It’s Showtime caught up with some of the cast during the show on 2nd February. Listen again here.
